foundation + slab frame + roof walls render

Walls

It seems like the main tools on this jobsite were a chainsaw and a sledge hammer. As the foundation was setting, steel rods (starter bars) were pushed vertically in the footings, to stabilise the first couple of rows of bales. Then wire tires and more steel rods were pushed into the courses of bales as they went up. The front angles proved a bit tricky, but with the help of a chainsaw, not too difficult. Regular clear glass beer bottles were used for the feature window. They are filled with water for added thermal mass, and food colouring was used for the blue effect.
